In Indoor Athletics athletes compete in 13 track and field events. The competition includes collection of many events including field events such as long jump, triple jump and high jump. Track events short, middle and long distance running and hurdles are also included. Most athletics events do not require any specialised equipment, testing a range of physical attributes. Shot put is the only throwing event held indoors due to size restrictions.
