Turkmen athletes won 15 medals at Asian Beach Games in Vietnam
1,000 athletes from 45 countries are participating in continuing 5th Asian Beach Games in Danang city and our Turkmen team has brought the number of medals won to 15 – two gold, four silver and nine bronze.
Most of all awards (6) our compatriots won in competitions on Kurash. Moreover, the final of the weight category up to 90 kg turned purely Turkmen: Ykhlas Setdarov overcame the tough fight against Nabi Aliyev. Both athletes are students of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism of Turkmenistan.
Another silver medal is in the asset of Nuryagdy Dzhepbarov (up to 73 kg). Three bronze medals were awarded to Muhammed Temirov and Sanjar Abdirahmanov (up to 81 kg) and Zarina Saparova (up to 48 kg).
Our athletes won three medals in Sambo and Jiu-Jitsu. "Self-defense without weapons" brought all range of medals to the sports achievement treasury of Turkmenistan. Begli Meretgeldiev (62 kg) rose to the top step of victory podium, Nurali Yalkapov (up to 90 kg) to the second and to the third - Dinara Rozykulova (up to 56 kg).
Brothers Yusup and Ahmed Tanryberdyyev won silver medals in Jiu-Jitsu on exhibition performances. Two bronze medals are at the account of Ulyana Kudinova (up to 49 kg) and Angelina Philippi (55 kg).
The masters of Thai Boxing - Jana Kavisova (up to 57 kg) and Jennet Aynazarova (up to 60 kg) achieved third places in the Games in Vietnam.
Yusup Meledzhaev brought another bronze medal to achievement treasury of our team in freestyle wrestling (up to 90 kg).
